As we age, the skin tone tends to get uneven. This is due to the appearances of dark spots. Patchiness becomes more visible, and it is a matter that comes along with getting older. The problem is very common that a large percentage of women consider hyper pigmentation and blotchiness of the skin a top concern.
So, if there is a product that boasts to virtually undo the visible signs of past sun damage, dark patches, age spots, and acne scarring in just 4 weeks, wouldn’t you try it? This is what Clinique’s Even Better Makeup SPF15 promises.
Even Better Makeup SPF15 is a skincare product that provides clarity, an even skin tone, and a skin with no visible age spots even without any makeup. This is a liquid formula that is applicable to all skin types, enriched with minerals, and long-lasting for a natural skin-perfect look.
With regular application, it gives the benefits of de-aging, covering and treating uneven skin tone in about 4 to 6 weeks.
Clinique’s Even Better Makeup is available in various color selection: Sienna, Clove, Deep Neutral, Nutty, Golden Neutral, Neutral, Ivory, Porcelain Beige, Alabaster, Fair, Honey, Cream Whip, Beige, Sand, Vanilla, Cream Chamois, Cream Caramel, Golden, Amber and Ginger.
Clinique offers other products such as Even Skin Tone Corrector to go with Even Better Makeup for the continued benefits of having even skin tone.
As additional actions for keeping your skin even, Clicnique recommends the four basic formulas. First, remember to practice safe and guilt-free tanning. Excessive exposure to the sun is never good as it darkens and damages the exposed part of the skin, making the skin tone greatly uneven.
Understand your own skin tone and know the appropriate care for it.
Third, never forget to exfoliate. Regular exfoliation helps in improving the skin’s evenness, texture and clarity.
Lastly, eat a balanced diet. Fruits rich in anti-oxidant and Vitamin C as well leafy vegetables rich in Vitamin E are great for the skin.

When it comes to skin care, anti-aging products can never be missed. Aging, though inevitable, can be made less evident by giving the skin proper care. That can be done through the application of an anti-aging product.
Perfectionist is one of the anti-aging products out in the market today. Courtesy of the cosmetic company Estee Lauder, Perfectionist promises to dramatically reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles and age spots on the face.
Estee Lauder’s Perfectionist comes with exclusive Wrinkle Lift Restructuring Peptides that amplifies the skin’s collagen production in just 2 hours. This was based on a vitro testing done on the product. Upon application, the skin looks less lined. More specifically, the product has the potential to provide a 36% reduction in the apparent length, depth and number of lines and wrinkles on the face. It also fills in and visibly immobilizes wrinkles with the use of a flexible elastomer. With regular application, it promises to make the skin look brighter and fresher.
These promising effects are possible with Perfectionist’s silky serum. It is boasted as the company’s most effective wrinkle fighting formula. It is combined with the exclusive Collagen Building Technology that works within the skin’s deepest surface layers.
Using it is very simple and easy, just like an ordinary facial cream. Anti-aging products such as Perfectionist are recommended to be applied on clean skin every morning.
The visible depth of lines and wrinkles are significantly exaggerated with the different activities and courses you do every single day. Pollution, stress and other harmful elements contribute to the destruction of the skin’s structural fibers like collagen, elastin and laminin. These fibers get weaken and become unevenly distributed as people age. Many studies prove this finding. These exaggerated wrinkles cast shadows on the face, making you look older, and more stressed at the end of the day. Because of that, the use of anti-aging products is very important.

Our face is one of the most exposed part of our body. It is always exposed to dirt and pollution. Apart from that, it is often applied with various kinds of chemicals due to the daily application of cosmetic products. These facial beatings can diminish the face's natural glow and youthful look. The good thing is, the bad effects of these facial beatings can be lessened by means of a simple daily routine -- cleansing. It is one of the best ways to keep the face's glow and youthful look.
Cleansing is an important beauty regimen that needs to be done everyday. All the sweat, oil, dirt, harmful bacteria and pollution that have accumulated on the face can be removed by means of cleansing. With that, the healthy condition of the face can be maintained. Also, daily cleansing helps promote good blood circulation in the face. As a result, it becomes more glowing and pinkish. Proper blood circulation allows blood to tint the area of your cheeks giving it a natural pinkish blush. Even without the use of blush on, you can have rosy cheeks just by cleansing your face regularly.
In cleansing your face, the first step is washing your hands. Since you would be using your hands in removing the dirt from your face, make sure that they are free from bacteria themselves. Use warm water and a mild soap in washing your hands. Mild formulas are advisable since they do not have much additional chemicals which can harmfully react with the facial cleanser you would be using.
Different skin types have different skin needs. That being said, different types of facial cleansers are required in cleansing normal skin, dry skin and oily skin. For normal skin, there are a lot of options available. You can opt for mild liquid soaps or gel soap. But since soaps have a way of drying up the skin, pairing it with some cleansing cream won't be bad. Look for creams that have natural moisturizers such as avocado, coconut, macadamia and wheat germ. Dry skin are usually chapped and has scaly skin. For this condition, avoid using warm water in cleansing your face down to the neck. The use of hot water open up the pores causing the moisture to exit the skin faster. Look for creams that are free from detergent ingredients and look for natural contents such as almond, jojoba oil and olive oil instead. For oily skin, avoid using wax types of cleansers.

Having an oily skin can be due to a lot of factors. It can be caused by bad diet, hormone levels, the use of birth control pills, pregnancy, cosmetics and even by genetic factors. An oily skin is very prone to having pimples and other kinds of blemishes so proper treatment is needed to somehow lessen the problem.
Treatment begins with proper cleansing of the skin. A mild soap or cleanser has to be used in removing the dirt from your pores. Avoid harsh cleansers as they can strip all the oil from your face and lead to another problem. Avoid the use of cleansers that give your skin a dehydrated and tight feeling. When washing the face, use hot water, not lukewarm or cold but something which you can tolerate.
A mud or clay mask is the best type of facial mask for oily skin as these types of masks soak up some of the excess oil from the face. After removing the mask, a skin with healthier complexion can be attained. A clarifying mask can be used at least once or twice a week.
There are moisturizers which are specifically formulated for oily skin. Look for these moisturizers which are oil free. Remember to not wash your face too much, two to three times are enough for one day. Washing the face more than it requires can cause the skin to produce more oil thus, making the problem worse rather than treating it.
Oily skin can also be treated naturally. If you are skeptical about using artificial skin care products, there are a lot of natural skin care treatments intended for oily skin. You can try using lime and cucumber juice. Mix a half teaspoon of both and apply on face for about thirty minutes. Do that before taking a bath to help remove some of the excess oil on the face.
Eating fatty and oily foods often contribute to having oily skin. Avoid these kinds of food and pack your diet with fruits, green vegetables and food rich in protein instead. Plenty of water, that's another important note, don't forget to drink a lot of water. Drinking at least eight glasses of water helps in obtaining a healthy skin as well as a healthy body. Avoid foods with a lot of sugar such as chocolates and softdrinks.

It is important to know that cosmetic products have limited shelf time, they have expiration dates. Once their time is up, it is no longer advisable to use them. On hot days, put them in a plastic bag and place them in the refrigerator. Once you've noticed that your lipstick is a bit greasy, that means that its oils have started to separate. A more youthful look can be attained by letting newer and healthier skin cells to grow. This is done through skin exfoliation -- the shedding of the dead skin cells. The skin exfoliates naturally by itself especially during sleep. Cells take time to reach the surface of the face. As the cells age, they move up from layer to layer until they reach the surface where they become dead and get naturally removed from the epidermis. The normal cycle of these type of cells is about 6 to 8 weeks. However, aging, stress, pollution and exposure to UV rays tend to slow down the natural process of exfoliating. new cells multiply faster when the dead skin cells are removed resulting to a fresher and more rejuvenated look.
Skin exfoliating regularly reduces fine lines, diminishes acne and increases the skin's ability to absorb moisture. Even though the skin exfoliates by itself, as earlier mentioned, there are certain skin types that need assistance such as oily and dead skin type. When the face is oily, dead skin cells tend to be saturated by the excess oil and it makes it difficult for dead skin cells to fall off naturally. As for the dead skin type, more dead skins easily accumulate while inhibiting natural exfoliation.
Dead skin cells can be removed easily using a facial scrub once a week. Avoid using it frequently because too much scrubbing can damage the skin. Do not use facial scrubs that are too granular as they cause skin darkening.
Using a moisturizer containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHA is also good. AHA is a fruit acid and is water soluble.
Peeling off dead skin cells with a facial mask can be done once in 3 to 4 weeks.
Simply choose one way of skin exfoliation depending on which suits you best. Just a reminder, do not apply the exfoliating methods mentioned above when you have pus-filled pimples.

Nobody wants to have a stressed face that screams, "Hey, My life is a mess, or I'm too busy at work to care about how I look" kind of message. But sometimes, no matter how much make up or cosmetic product you apply on your face, you just can't get the look you want. Everybody wants to be at their best always and it starts with the face. Though cosmetic products works to enhance the beauty of one's face, they can't completely remove the signs of tension that tend to show during certain periods and situations. This is where facial exercises come in.
Facial exercises are good in quickly toning and relaxing the muscles in the face. If done properly on a daily basis, they can greatly improve the appearance and expressiveness of your face.
Before you sleep or during/after taking a bath, try to scrunch up your face -- wrinkle your nose, have your forehead furrowed while keeping your eyes and mouth closed. Keep this for a few seconds then do the opposite, open your eyes and mouth as wide as possible for a few seconds. That's already one, proceed to the next exercise. Purse your lips and push them to the right then to the left. Repeat it for at least 16 counts. After that, grin. Grinning is also a facial exercise that works the muscles in the area of your cheeks and chin. Grin widely as if from ear to ear. Stay in this expression for a few seconds. After a while, repeat the grin but this time, tighten your neck muscles and tuck in your chin.
Eye brows can also be lifted naturally by doing some simple facial exercises. Start by lifting up your eye brows using your four fingers. Then, shut your eyes tightly while keeping your eye brows lifted as high as possible. Stay this way for at least 30 seconds. After that, brush out your eye brows.
Apart from toning the facial muscles, these exercises also increase the blood circulation in the face.

The price of cosmetics nowadays is not getting any cheaper. Having a whole set of make up would cost hundreds and at times, even thousand bucks. So, it's a good thing that there are stuffs inside our homes which can serve as substitute to pricey cosmetics. They are all natural and guaranteed not to cause any harm to the skin unlike what some chemicals in manufactured cosmetics do.
Dark-colored fruits are great staining items that can be used in making lip balms. Simply mash raspberries, blackberries or pomegranates and mix with petroleum jelly or olive oil. Vitamin E is also good to mix with any staining item of your choice. Not only it is easy to mix but it also keeps the lips soft and prevents them from chapping. These mixtures can also be used to stain cheeks just like liquid-based blush on.
Corn starch can be used to make face powder. It is safe even for sensitive skin as it does not contain talc. Aside from that, it is free from minerals that deposit deeply in the skin that cause irritations and pimples.
For the eyes, extra caution must be observed since that area is very sensitive and very prone to irritation. The best items to use are unscented baby powder and dry food coloring. Simply mix the two items until the desired color is achieved. Cream based eye shadows can be made by mixing the food color with Vitamin or petroleum jelly. These mixtures create richer colors that last longer than powder-based ones.
Fragrances can be easily made with materials that lye around the house too. Fragrance oils can be bought or be derived from flowers. Once you have the fragrance oil ready, just mix it with water and vodka or other spirits that do not have strong odor. It is fun to experiment with fragrances; mixing different kinds of oils can create interesting and unique smells. People would wonder where you bought the perfume you are wearing once you put it on.
